Starting on Monday, May 6, 2024, the Connecticut Department of Transportation is beginning full milling and paving operations along Route 8, as follows:
- Night work milling, surveying, and paving will begin on May 6th throughout the entire project limits from Exit 15 to 22 both northbound and southbound.
- Signage will be posted on the jobsite.
- Milling will occur in one-mile segments and new pavement will be installed within two days.
- Milling, surveying, and paving will begin from the Exit 15 on-ramp, continuing northbound through Exit 22/23.
- When northbound is complete, milling, surveying, and paving will resume southbound starting from Exit 22/23, continuing to the Exit 15 southbound off-ramp.
